Coiled Baskets Fall 2026

Simple and addictive About this Event Description: This one day workshop explores the ancient technique of coiling. We will be working with yarns and threads from your gatherings (formerly known as your stash). The best choices would be cottons, wools and linens. You want threads and yarns that are strong and do not break easily. Novelty yarns and delicates need special consideration, maybe left for your second or third and fourth basket. Your supplies should include a ball or two of yarn of your choice, sports weight or thicker, a finer yarn maybe a crochet cotton, perl cotton, fingerweight yarn, or 6 stand embroidery floss. Play with your colour choices. This is a very fun class, lots of rooms for creativity and play. I love making baskets and hope you will too.
